The next destination for luxury brands

2007-09-6

China’s luxury market has grown into one of the biggest in the world and is still advancing towards in a meteorically fast pace. The world, however, is not only mind-boggled by its rapid growth but also embarrassed by the complexity embedded in this market. Such issues as entry restrictions, retailing dilemmas, counterfeiting activities have already posed massive challenges to the well-recognized established players as well as the luxury brands that are ready to chart their strategy into this market.

According to the China Business Herald, driving a Rolls Royce, wearing a Rolex, donning Zegna and using a Montblanc to write while having a Louis Vuitton over your shoulder is nothing new to China's big bosses. That’s why all the leading luxury brands never slow down the pace of expanding their business in China. With more than 10% annual growth, China luxury consumption market will definitely surpass EU & US and become the No. 2 biggest luxury market in the world. Sales revenue raised from mainland China has already contributed a lot to multinational luxury conglomerates and will continue to flourish the global luxury industry.

China Decision Makers Consultancy (CDMC) sensed the delicacy of this market in 2005 and it led to the idea of organizing China Luxury Summit together with ESSEC MBA in International Luxury Brand Mangement. We could never expect the success we already have now when we came up with this idea with Denis Morisset. But due to the hard work of the Organizing Committee and tremendous support from home and abroad, China Luxury Summit has undoubtedly become the No. 1 annual luxury event in Asia after two consecutive successes and has also been worldwidely recognized.

With more than 400 participants including LVMH, Richemont, Zegna, Cartier, Hugo Boss, Valentino, CK, Coach, L’oreal, Boucheron, Swarovski, Alfred Dunhill, Officine Panerai, Shanghai Tang, Piaget, China Luxury Summit 2007 will offer a unique opportunity for you to get the first-hand information and share your experiences with all the top-leveled attendees.

Let's cheer up for this great nation and explore the essence of the market together!
